Student Summer Camp

1 week 4 the next 51

1451 is a summer camp for students who have completed 6th through 12th grade. It’s a week designed to help students grow in their faith, build real friendships, and learn how to live as disciples who make disciples.

What is 1451?

1451 stands for one week for the next 51.

We believe one week set apart can have a lasting impact on the rest of the year. This camp is more than a getaway. It’s a focused time for students to grow in their relationship with Jesus and learn how to follow Him in everyday life.

Throughout the week, students are challenged and equipped to be disciples who make disciples. Everything we do points back to that purpose.

What does a week at 1451 look like?

Every day at 1451 is intentional, but it’s also full of energy and fun.

Students start their morning with TAWG (Time Alone With God), where they learn how to spend time in Scripture and prayer on their own.

From there, the day includes:

  • Large group worship with engaging teaching
  • Breakouts on topics students are facing right now
  • Small group Bible studies with leaders and friends
  • Free time packed with activities and options

In the evenings, students gather again for worship and a message from a dynamic speaker, followed by Nightlife, a themed event that brings everyone together for a fun and memorable end to the day.

Built for Fun, Connection, and Growth

1451 is hosted at Ocoee Ridge Camp in Old Fort, Tennessee, giving students access to incredible outdoor experiences and activities.

Every part of the experience is designed to help students build friendships and make memories they won’t forget.

Focused on What Matters Most

Each night, students hear from a dynamic speaker who brings clear, engaging, and relevant teaching from God’s Word.

Pastor Daniel Lucas from Better Life Church in Morehead, Kentucky, will be joining us again this year. He communicates in a way students understand and challenges them to take real steps in their faith.

Students won’t just hear messages. They’ll talk about them, process them in small groups, and be encouraged to live them out.

Who Can Attend?

1451 is for students who have completed 6th grade through 12th grade.

Whether your student is new to church or has been coming for years, this week is designed to meet them where they are and help them take their next step.

What Students Are Saying

Hear how God has used 1451 to impact students.

Night Lyfe

Every night ends with Night Lyfe, a themed event that brings the whole camp together.

From Christmas in July to red, white, and blue parties, each night is different. Students dress up, compete, laugh, and make memories with their friends.

It’s one of the most fun parts of the week and something students talk about long after camp is over

The cell Phone Policy: Creating a Distraction-Free environment

We believe that God wants to do big things in the lives of students during this one week that they spend away from their regular routines. In an effort to help limit distractions and help students connect to the Lord and each other, we have a policy that limits cell phone use during the day.

Below, you’ll find a letter from our Student Pastor explaining the policy.

Hey folks,

I LOVE THE SUMMER! It’s the best part of the year! We believe every student has a name,
every name has a story, and every story matters to God. Summer camp has been a huge part of
my story with Jesus. In fact, you may or may not know this, but I met my wife at church camp
waiting in line at a pay phone to call my dad to wish him a happy birthday! True story, there
were 20 or so students in line to call home. Kristen and I kept in touch over the years, and I’m
sure you know the rest of the story. So, as you can imagine, I LOVE CAMP!

We are so grateful to be a part of a church that believes students are the church of TODAY.
Immanuel believes this so much that we put on our own camp to equip students for the next 51
weeks. It truly is one week of intense fun and discipleship to prepare your student for the next
fifty-one weeks or even the next fifty-one years in their story.

Every year we continue to raise the bar in eliminating distractions. We do this in order to
ensure everyone is engaged in what God wants to do every second of that one week.
Therefore, we have a “no cell phone policy” at 1451 for students. This decision has been made
to make the camp better for the students, and we are confident it will.

Here is our policy in detail:

We recommend leaving cell phones at home, but will allow cell phones on the bus ride down
and back. Once we arrive at camp, students will power down their phones, and we will secure
them in lock box for the day. Each night students will be allowed to use their phone to call
home at curfew, 11:00pm. If your student does not have a cell phone, they will be able us their
chaperone’s phone. Students will receive their phones on Friday morning prior to getting on
the bus.

Lastly, I often wonder would I have met my wife at camp if I had used a cell phone to call
home? Who knows what God has in store for you student, and we can’t wait to see what
happens over the next 51 weeks. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to
reach out.

Student Pastor,
Dustin Rife
