THIS IS WHO WE ARE
Throughout Immanuel’s history, we have been a family of believers that prays fervently, gives sacrificially, and loves without limits.
From the time we first met at the Quality Inn to our time meeting at the convention center to the remodel of our Corbin Campus building, we’ve taken bold steps of faith. We’ve watched God do more than we could imagine every time.
CONTRIBUTOR > CONSUMER
EQUAL SACRIFICE
In our journey towards building a permanent home in Williamsburg, we embrace the principle of ‘equal sacrifice, not equal gifts.’ It’s about offering what we can, with a heart willing to sacrifice, knowing that together, our contributions can achieve immeasurably more than we can imagine.

WHY WE GIVE GENEROUSLY
IT'S WHAT THE PEOPLE OF GOD HAVE ALWAYS DONE
In Exodus 35 and 36, we witness the Israelites’ overwhelming generosity in contributing to the construction of the tabernacle. Their outpouring of offerings was so abundant that Moses had to restrain them. This powerful account reminds us that when God’s people unite in purpose and resources, incredible things can happen.
GOD CAN USE IT IN INCREDIBLE WAYS
The apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 3:20 that our God is able to do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.” As we commit our plans to the Lord, we open the door for Him to work in ways that surpass our expectations, providing abundantly for the work at hand.
IT'S A SPIRITUAL INVESTMENT
In Philippians 4, Paul expresses gratitude for the Philippians’ support, not because he seeks the gift itself, but because he desires for their account to be credited with blessings. Our contributions to this campaign are not merely financial transactions; they are spiritual investments that will yield eternal dividends.
WAYS TO GIVE
If you have any questions or would like more information about any of these options, please contact our Finance team at [email protected].
GIVE ONLINE
You can give online to the Williamsburg Building Project fund from your checking account, savings accounts, debit card, or credit card. The best way to give online is through your bank account rather than with a debit or credit card to avoid a transaction fee.
CASH OR CHECK
Remember to specify that your gift is for the Williamsburg Building Project fund. Then, drop your gift in the Sunday morning offering, or mail your gift to:
Immanuel Baptist Church
720 Browning Acres Rd.
Corbin, KY 40701
Stock
Donate stock holdings directly to Immanuel through our broker.
If you sell appreciated stock and donate the cash proceeds, you may be subject to long term capital gains taxes which can be up to 20% of the appreciated value. If you donate the stock directly to the church, you can avoid that tax altogether and make your gift go further!
If you’d like to make this type of donation, contact our finance office at [email protected].
DONOR-ADVISED FUND
Donor-Advised Funds, or DAFs, allow donors to make charitable contributions to a public charity, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to other organizations like Immanuel.
IRA Accounts
Are you subject to required minimum distributions from your IRA account? A qualified charitable distribution to Immanuel can satisfy all or part of the amount of your required minimum distribution from your IRA, helping you to avoid income taxes on an otherwise taxable distribution.
OTHER NON-cash gifts
We are also able to accept other non-cash gifts, such as real estate, business interests, personal property, restricted securities, estate gifts, retirement plans, and life insurance.
TESTIMONIES FROM WILLIAMSBURG
CHRIS' STORY
Chris grew up in a religious belief system. As he got older, he found himself in the wrong group, partying and falling into addiction. He sought temporary joy, which led him deeper into the hole. Chris didn’t know what defined him; he was aimlessly wandering with shame.
It wasn’t until Chris came to the University of the Cumberlands that he began to find a Christian family. He and his new friends quickly clicked and were slowly introduced to the Bible by their friend Micah Nahid. They had genuine Bible studies, with times of laughter and joy. Chris felt valued. The introduction to the Gospel of Mark sparked many questions and realizations. God was at work in his life.
Chris soon started having discipleship meetings with Garrett Bailey. It was during one of these meetings, by reading Romans 10, that he truly knew what it meant to be known, cared for, and loved by Christ. It was at this time that Chris decided he needed and wanted to live for Jesus. Christ Jesus started to define Chris’ life.
To this day, Chris still struggles with human temptations and immediate satisfaction, but the Bible provides direction back to Christ. Chris now knows a perfect friend who saved him from the seemingly endless pit. He has been loved without limits.
THE BROWNS' STORY
Jeremiah’s journey at Immanuel began when he was invited to a life group on campus. There, he was discipled, truly learning how to read the Bible for the first time. Soon after, Jeremiah and Anna got married, and they knew they needed to put down roots at a church that could provide ongoing discipleship.
It was clear to them that Immanuel was that church home. Jeremiah said yes to serving on the tech team, while Anna worked in children’s ministry. They were simply being obedient to where God was leading.
As the Browns attended church and said yes to serving, God also placed a burden for foster care on their hearts. Their obedience in that area grew their faith in unimaginable ways. It made them realize a desire to pursue long-term missions because while the foster children needed them, the children had already heard about Jesus. But on those short-term trips, they encountered nations with no way of hearing about Christ.
So they took steps to pursue international missions and applied with the IMB. They are now serving as missionaries with their two daughters in eastern Europe.
From that first life group invitation to the obedient step of overseas service, Jeremiah and Anna’s journey has been marked by a willingness to go wherever God leads, and to love without limits.

PLEDGE INFORMATION
PLEDGE FAQS
A pledge is a financial commitment to the Love Without Limits building campaign. This campaign funds the new Williamsburg Campus Building. A pledge is not legally binding, but is a personal commitment to help fund the ministry.
Your pledge is an investment that has eternal rewards. It will fund the Williamsburg Campus building to allow the Gospel to be shared in the community and around the world!
The campaign will run for 3 years to allow your donation to be given over a period of time. You may choose to give monthly, quarterly, or at another interval that works for you.
A pledge is committed by turning in a Pledge Card. You will be able to track your pledges and follow along with the progress of the campaign through your Giving profile.
You’ll turn in your Pledge Card during Worship service at your campus on Sunday, April 28, 2024. It will be a unifying act of worship for the entire church!
FULFILLING A PLEDGE
Once you know your pledge, you can set up the giving process. You can set up a pledged gift in a few ways:
- Online: Set up a recurring online gift connected through your bank account.
- Why online and recurring? You can set it up and it’s done! Your gift will be on time, and you won’t forget or miss a gift even if you miss a Sunday.
- Why through my bank account? It is a secure way of giving. Also, a gift from a credit or debit card costs us 3% of the gift in fees, while a gift through a bank costs a flat fee of 30 cents. That difference adds up to a lot of money over time! We would rather those funds go towards the mission of the church than be paid out in transaction fees.
- Cash/Check: You may choose to pay by check or cash. We can provide you with gift envelopes for the term of your pledge. You can then place your gift in the offering during the weekly Worship service. Let the Info Table know if you would like a set of envelopes.
- Special Gifts: Immanuel is also able to accept non-cash gifts, such as stocks, property, and other investments. We would be glad to discuss these options with you!
