Impact is a church internship program during the summer where you’ll get hands-on ministry experience and grow in your faith like never before.
ABOUT IMPACT
Impact is an internship program with Immanuel Baptist Church. Throughout the experience, you’ll get hands-on ministry experience, travel domestically and internationally, and work closely with a staff member serving in your ministry track of choice.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Service
You’ll learn the ins and outs of planning, setting up, and executing ministry events in multiple contexts. The Lord will grow you as you humbly carry out the behind-the-scenes work of ministry.
Evangelism
You’ll not only learn how to share the Gospel, you’ll actually get the opportunity to do it! You’ll get to see God work in big ways as you are obedient to share the Good News of Jesus with others.
Discipleship
Following Jesus involves taking one step of obedience after another. Throughout the summer, you’ll help people of all ages take their next steps with Jesus while you are taking yours.
WHERE YOU'LL GO
Kentucky
Impact kicks off at our Central Campus in Corbin, Kentucky. While you’re here, you’ll get training in theology, evangelism, and discipleship. Then, you’ll get to put that training to use at Vacation Bible School and Lucid, our outreach events that allow us to connect with hundreds of students and their families.
Tennessee
You’ll travel south to Tennessee, where you’ll play an integral part at 1451 (our camp for middle and high school students). 1451 is “1 week 4 the next 51,” so you’ll help disciple students and teach them what it looks like to follow Jesus for the next 51 weeks of the year. You’ll also have a blast enjoying God’s creation and outdoor activities.
Across the Globe
The Impact experience includes an international mission trip. During this trip, you’ll be stretched in your faith as you share the Gospel across cultures, and you’ll be encouraged by the global church as you do ministry with brothers and sisters from other tongues, tribes, and nations.

You can apply for Impact anytime, and interviews will be conducted throughout the year as we receive applications.
MINISTRY TRACKS
During Impact, we’ll pair you with a staff member who serves in your chosen ministry concentration area. You’ll learn from them and serve alongside them as you help them carry out their weekly ministry tasks.
