The Richmond Campus of Immanuel Baptist Church was planted in 2019. This campus was planted to reach Madison County and EKU’s campus for Christ. Come worship with us on a Sunday morning or join one of our Life Groups that meet throughout the week!

Birth – 5th Grade
We want to help kids know, love and follow Jesus. With age-specific activities and interactive, biblical teaching for kids, we are helping kids explore God’s Word and experience God’s love.

6th – 12th Grade
We are passionate about impacting the next generation and igniting a passion for serving others and sharing Christ. Learn more about our incredible weekend and midweek experiences and events.

At Immanuel, we don’t want college-aged students to wait until they’re “adults” before they can make a Kingdom impact—We believe God wants to use them today to reach their campus!
Meet our Richmond Campus Leadership
Jon Barron
Jon is a native Californian that has called Kentucky home for the past 18 years of his life. He is a graduate of Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. It was in Seminary that he met his wife, Elaina, they have been married for 25 years, with 2 kids Lauren Burgess and Jack Barron. He was blessed to receive a new son into the family (Daniel Burgess) when Lauren got married in the summer of 2020. Jon and Elaina have served in college ministry in Texas, Idaho, and Kentucky for 23 of their 25 years of marriage. He has been leading the Immanuel Baptist Church Richmond Campus since it was planted in 2019. In his downtime, he enjoys fishing, golf, and watching movies.
